interesting notes on BB users. Iain
According to the results of a new survey of US and Canadian consumers by Instat, the majority rated their broadband connection ‘the communication service they can least live without.’ The study also found that ‘85% of all broadband household segments favor the quadruple play,’ despite the fact that other studies have shown that very few people actually sign up for all four services from one provider.
The survey raises some interesting questions. Is there a point where broadband shifts from ‘must-have communications service’ to utility? What if broadband becomes integral to health-care? Is broadband currently a utility or a luxury? Vote in our latest poll.
