Swedish Towns to Get 1 Gbps FTTH Using Cisco Equipment: “

Cisco has announced that residents in the southern Swedish communities of Lunds Kommunala Bostäder and Allbohus in Alvesta will be provided with a residential access network based on the Cisco IP Next-Generation Network (IP NGN) architecture. The fiber optic network, connecting 12,000 households in the region, is based on Cisco Ethernet Fiber-to-the-Home (E-FTTH) technology and delivers upstream and downstream access speeds up to 1 gigabit per second.
