CES: Cisco Preps Home Invasion (Light Reading)

Will be interesting to see how LinkSys does in home long term. I believe Cisco won the enterprise because they realized that the computer network had to become as reliable as the phone network. While 3Com, and others, were chasing low-price, Cisco was solving customers technical problems. I think the home network is going to eventually make the same shift. If IP applications are to take off in the home, then the home network solution will need to become much better. Consumers will care and I think will be prepared to pay more to get it. But maybe consumers are tapped out with HDTV and PVR purchases 😉
